Grand Lake Autism Support Network

Our monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month beginning at 6:30 pm at Cornerstone Church located at 501 East 13th Street in Grove, Ok.  However, check the website occasionally as there may be changes from time to time. 

Parents, guardians, caregivers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers, aides and other support personnel are all welcome to attend.

Can't find a babysitter?  No problem.  We can always accommodate our little ones.  After all, that is why we are here!

ADDITIONAL SUPPORT NETWORKS

Muskogee Autism Support Network - This network of parents, grandparents and other caregivers meets monthly on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30 pm.*  We also invite teachers, aides and anyone involved in the life of a child with autism to join us!

Location:  Believer's Christian Fellowship @ 4520 Neosho, Muskogee, Ok

Directions:  Take the Muskogee Turnpike to the Port of Muskogee/Hyde Park exit.  Go east on Hyde Park Road and go across the railroad tracks.  Take the next left after the railroad tracks and go approximately a 1/4 of a mile.  The church is on your right.  The meeting is in the fellowship hall (the building that looks like a house attached to the church).

Sallisaw Autism Support Network - We're not done yet!  We're currently in the process of forming a support network in the Sallisaw area!  If you are interested in attending a group in Sallisaw, please contact Christi Kellogg @ 918-441-3707 or 918-681-4692.

Salina Autism Support Network - We're also planning to form a group in the Salina, Ok area.  Call Christi Kellogg at (918)441-3707 or (918)681-4692 if interested.

Library Books

All three support groups offer a variety of books on Autism and Aspergers dealing with many issues that we face.  We have a range of books dealing with issues from pre-school to transitional services, hygiene to name a few.  Books are free to check out at each meeting and we ask that you bring the book back at the next meeting.  If you would like more information, contact your group facilitator.  Also, we have #2 and #3 of the Floortime DVD's which can be checked out.  We can mail them, and you are only responsible for mailing them back.  Check out time (for the DVD's) is 2 weeks.  E-mail me to let me know if you are interested in either of these things.
